Caden - Update for Daddy

Play date with Brookie and the motorcycle!

Brooklyn is Born to Ride.

A friend at work gave us this darling motorcycle. Caden didn't know what to think, but he was adamant about grabbing whatever he could. His cousin Brooklyn absoultely loved it and did not want to get out of the pics. Thanks so much Jim for the fun ride. I can hardly wait for him to be cruisin' around the house!!!

Five months and growing. Yesterday I weighed Caden and he was approx. 20.5 lb. I had his diaper and onsie on when I weighed him so he may be a little less. Anyhow, he is pushing 20 lb. He is approx. 27" long. I can tell that he is starting to grow up instead of out. He is losing his budda belly a bit - how sad, I love his little belly!

Caden playing in his saucer - this is his favorite past time!

Welcome Baby H (2)

Welcome Baby H (2). She weighed 6 lb 9 oz and was 19.5 inches long. She is a tiny little thing. Congrats on your beautiful baby girl!! Hopefully Caden doesn't harass her too much as they grow up together =).

Good Luck OC Herrscher

Well, it has now been two weeks since Brian took off for AMS training in TN. It has probably been the most difficult two weeks of my entire life, but I have survived. Caden and I have been well taken care of and have been making many stops to our family and friend's homes. Thanks to all for your support - you have been wonderful.

I received a call from Brian tonight and he has advanced to Phase II of training. He passed his first exam this morning with flying colors and has been doing well on his memos and room inspections! I tell you he is the smartest guy I know, and the cutest of course. Anyhow, I have been able to visit with him and he is doing very well. The end of Feb. can't come fast enough - that's when Caden and I will be reunited with the man of our dreams =). We are so proud of him and pray that our time apart goes quickly!!

Here is a pic of Brian and Caden the night before he left. What a good looking pair!!!

Growing Like a Weed

This month Caden turned FOUR MONTHS OLD. Yesterday we had his four month appt. which included more shots...aahh!! He did pretty well but had mom up a couple of times last night. Anyhow. I'm sure all of you are curios to know his stats. He now weighs 17.13 lbs and is 26.2 inches long. He is above the 90% on both...what a big boy.

Last week Caden was not eating or sleeping well which made me really nervous so I took him to the doctor. The trip to the doctor was pretty uneventful except for we found out that Caden is teething!!! I can't believe how fast he is growing up.

Some of his milestones include smiling (which he does practically all day long), laughing (hysterical), squealing, holding onto teething rings, binkies and mommies hair (ouch). He also loves playing in his saucer. He hits the buttons to make the lights and music come on. Not sure he knows cause/effect yet, but I think he is starting to figure it out. We are still awaiting the day when he decides to rollover. He has made some progress in the last couple of weeks where he can get on his side but then he goes back onto his back.

Welcome Baby H

WELCOME BABY H. My niece was born this month weighing 7 lbs 12 oz and was 20 inches long. She is a healthy baby girl. Both mom and baby are doing well although mom had a pretty rough delivery/surgery. She is an angel. She never cries; not even when she is hungry.

What to be for Halloween???

Lions and TIGERS and bears, oh my....and COWBOYS!!! This year for Halloween, Caden was going to be a Tiger. I found this darling outfit with ears, paws and a cute little tail. I tried the costume on well in advance of Halloween, I was so excited to see him dressed up. To my dismay, I found that the costume fit him a little to good with one month to go. What is a mother to do??? BUY ANOTHER COSTUME OF COURSE!!! So instead of being a tiger (the cutest tiger ever - mind you), he was a little cowboy sheriff. Dad and mom dressed up too. Dad was an outlaw and mom a saloon girl.
