Growing Like a Weed

This month Caden turned FOUR MONTHS OLD. Yesterday we had his four month appt. which included more shots...aahh!! He did pretty well but had mom up a couple of times last night. Anyhow. I'm sure all of you are curios to know his stats. He now weighs 17.13 lbs and is 26.2 inches long. He is above the 90% on both...what a big boy.

Last week Caden was not eating or sleeping well which made me really nervous so I took him to the doctor. The trip to the doctor was pretty uneventful except for we found out that Caden is teething!!! I can't believe how fast he is growing up.

Some of his milestones include smiling (which he does practically all day long), laughing (hysterical), squealing, holding onto teething rings, binkies and mommies hair (ouch). He also loves playing in his saucer. He hits the buttons to make the lights and music come on. Not sure he knows cause/effect yet, but I think he is starting to figure it out. We are still awaiting the day when he decides to rollover. He has made some progress in the last couple of weeks where he can get on his side but then he goes back onto his back.

Welcome Baby H

WELCOME BABY H. My niece was born this month weighing 7 lbs 12 oz and was 20 inches long. She is a healthy baby girl. Both mom and baby are doing well although mom had a pretty rough delivery/surgery. She is an angel. She never cries; not even when she is hungry.

What to be for Halloween???

Lions and TIGERS and bears, oh my....and COWBOYS!!! This year for Halloween, Caden was going to be a Tiger. I found this darling outfit with ears, paws and a cute little tail. I tried the costume on well in advance of Halloween, I was so excited to see him dressed up. To my dismay, I found that the costume fit him a little to good with one month to go. What is a mother to do??? BUY ANOTHER COSTUME OF COURSE!!! So instead of being a tiger (the cutest tiger ever - mind you), he was a little cowboy sheriff. Dad and mom dressed up too. Dad was an outlaw and mom a saloon girl.

It's Fall...Time for Pickin' Pumpkins

For the second year in a row, we have hand picked our pumpkins at a pumpkin patch. I have decided this is going to be a family tradition for years to come...it is so much more fun than visiting your local grocery store. We have gone both years with my sister's family and it is really fun to watch her girls, who are older than Caden, run around to find the perfect pumpkin :).

...and this is my JOY

After being married for a while, Brian and I decided it was time to start our family. Our baby boy, Caden, was born this year. He was a whopping 8 lb. 5 oz. and measured in at 21 inches long. He has added so much joy to our family and we feel so blessed to have him.

The Herrschers are now blogging

Well...I have found myself wasting numerous hours each week checking out people's blogs. After many discussions with close friends, I decided it was time to join the blogging community. I figure this is a great way for my family and friends to see what is going on in our crazy lives!!
