Our Little Man

Our BABY is growing up too fast. This last week has been really exciting for us in the Herrscher home. Caden has finally figured out how to rollover AGAIN. He is now a pro going from belly to back, but has yet to figure out the other direction. Last Monday he rolled over three times in a row and by Tuesday any time we put him on his belly he would instantly roll to his back. He would then get a HUGE smile on his little face...it was really sweet.

Caden also spoke his first word, DADA of course, on Friday night. Brian was really excited. I was excited too, but a little disappointed it was not mama. I know dada is easier to say so that is my excuse as to why that was his first word =). Either way our little man is now talking.

Caden also stood up on his own for 2-3 seconds on Sunday night. I was holding his hands while he was standing and he let go of my hands and stood there. I was so excited I screamed which scared him and caused him to fall to the ground.

Lastly, Caden is randomly making a funny face. It started on Sunday where he did it multiple times in a row. It made us laugh which really pleased him. Grandma Herrscher said he did it today too while she was watching him.

Needless to say Caden is growing up quickly. It is really hard for me to believe that our little boy is already eight months old. I have really enjoyed being a mom thus far; Caden is such a blessing in our lives. He brings so much joy and happiness to our home. I thank God each day for blessing me with such a wonderful family.

What a beautiful day for the Zoo

Saturday was such a beautiful day that we decided to head to the Zoo. This was Caden's first Zoo experience and he seemed to really enjoy himself. He got a bit fussy towards the end, but overall it was very pleasant.

Out of the car and into the stroller. Caden was so happy to get out and enjoy the warm weather.

Brian and Caden in their Aviator sunglasses. Aren't they the cutest guys you have ever seen? I am the luckiest woman on earth =).

Caden and his cousins. The Moms were picture crazy which not only drove the dads crazy, but the kiddos too.

Can you believe he is already driving? I think I know what he is getting for Easter.

When I was out shopping on Friday I found these glasses at The Children's Place. I couldn't pass them up because Brian has a pair just like them. Anyhow, I had to buy the 4-7 size because Caden's head is so big.

New Pics of Caden

Here are some recent pics of Caden. Hope you enjoy!!

Brian, Caden and I went for a walk. It was a chilly day so we bundled the little guy up. As you can see he did not last long.

Caden loves bath time especially when he sees his rubber ducky. The other day he faced dived into the water reaching for the bugger.

At the U of U Basketball game with G & G Herrscher. Go Utes!!

Two little chopmers. Luckily none on the top yet, but feeding can still be painful =).

My little man. My Poppy and Granny got Caden a little suit for Christmas. It finally fits him so he will be wearing it on Sundays and for special occassions. Thanks Pop and Gran, it is darling on him.

I love my high chair especially when dad does the wiggle worm in front of me

Our little Rock Star. Mom, thanks for the cute shirt.

My Husband the Officer

Congratulations Brian on your commission as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force. We are so proud of this great accomplishment!!!

Also, while I was in TN my dad and mom watched Caden for us. It was quite an experience for my dad as he was home from work both days with him and Caden did not go to bed until 3AM one night. My wonderful sister also had Caden stay overnight on Thursday and watched him Friday. Thank you all for the wonderful support you gave Brian, Caden and myself while he was gone. We truly appreciate it and love all of you dearly.

Dinner at Ye Olde Steakhouse in TN. This was the first time I got to see my husband in six weeks. It was absolutely wonderful!

Visit to Grandpa and Grandma Carroll's in Arizona

While Brian was in TN at AMS, Caden and I visited my mom and dad in Arizona. It was so nice to have a couple of days of sunshine - we both really needed it. Anyhow, the plane ride there was a bit hectic as Caden cried most of the time. The ride home was very peaceful. He feel asleep right away. I was so relieved!! Here are some pics of our trip.

Caden's First Airplane Ride - Finally asleep with only 20 minutes til touchdown!

Grandma Honey met us in the airport. Caden was so happy to see her.

Their new puppy Zach. We drove almost three hours (to Flagstaff) to pick this guy up. He is so cute!! It was definitely worth it.

Thanks for the visit Grandma and Grandpa - we had a wonderful time. Thanks for letting us hang with you. Your house is beautiful.

Caden - 6 Month Stats

Well I have a lot of catching up to do, so here it goes. Caden had his SIX MONTH appt this month. He weighed 20.5 lbs and was 28.1 inches tall. He is still above the 90% in both. Can you believe how big he is getting? Before I know it he will be a teenager =(.
