Brian and I are expecting our second bundle. We visited the doctor on Dec. 21 for a gender check. We had the nurse write the sex of the baby on a piece of paper and then seal it in an envelope. I then dropped it off at a friend's house and she did the shopping. She wrapped the gift and we waited until Christmas morning to open it. On Christmas morning I woke up at 6:50 AM hoping my boys would be up soon. At 8:00 or so I started banging around in the kitchen (cooking muffins) still no response from either of them. At 8:30 AM Brian rolled out of bed and I had to open Caden's door to get him up. Finally both were up and I was ready to open the gift. I didn't want my selfish desire to interrupt Caden's Christmas so we had him open all of his stocking and half of his gifts before we finally got around to opening the present.
Caden opened it and I saw blue tissue paper. Both Brian and I wondered if they were trying to throw us off so I took over from there. I saw a bit of pink and was so excited. We are having a baby girl! From the moment we told Caden he was going to be a big brother he said he wanted a sister. We had been trying to convince him the week prior that a brother would be great too. We did not want him to be disappointed. Anyhow, now we will have one of each. We are so excited to welcome our baby girl on June 7th.
